Bangkok is not only well-known as a heaven of food lover, but also is a top destination for shoppers, with various shopping centers along the Chao Phraya River.


Asiatique the Riverfront


A riverside lifestyle community mall that is the largest of its kind in Asia. Asiatique is a famous landmark of Bangkok city, hosting a variety of shops and activities, where you can observe the beautiful scenery along the riverside of Chao Phraya River.




Asiatique's architectural style resembles city buildings constructed during 1900-1940 in Colonial Style. There are many stores selling hip clothe from budding designers, along with places selling unique furnitures. At night, you can hang out at the pubs and restaurants while relaxing next to the stunning scenery of the Chao Phraya River. There are over 1,500 businesses running throughout Asiatique.


You can walk along the promenade and witness a panoramic view of the Chao Phraya River, or take a ride on the Asiatique Sky, a giant Ferris wheel looking over the city. There are also the Calypso Bangkok, a 4D theatre, and the Joe Louise Theatre among a host of other activities in Asiatique.

Every day from 5 pm. to midnight. Asiatique shuttle boats are in service from Sathorn pier at no cost.

River City


River City is the first shopping center on the Chao Phraya riverside. It is a place where you can shop various items while experiencing stunning artworks. The River City opened in 1984 offering various traditional Thai products. There are traditional Thai handicrafts, textiles, sculptures, and other works of art for sale.



The mall also houses various rare artifacts, making it a popular place for collectors and people looking for home decoration. The River City also hosts various art exhibitions throughout the year.

Wang Lang





A center for secondhand clothing items. A lot of the products come from the famous Ring Kluea Market (Border market) in Sra Kaew province of Thailand. From a double-digit price into thousands of Baht, you can find many different kinds of items here. With a good eye for quality, and a friendly face, you can find hidden gems for a fraction of its actual value. As you look at the massive selection of clothing items, you should also try the various food sold within the market.
